After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:1: Summarize the risk factors and protective factors for development of AD.2: Elaborate on the genes that increase longevity and their effects on the development of diseases of aging.3: Communicate the differences between aggressive vs cautious therapeutic approaches to patients with AD and their families.4: Select assessment methods to help determine whether individual patients with AD are responding to therapy.5: Prescribe the optimal pharmacologic treatment to patients with AD.
